Job description

Bilingual Child Academy - a premier chain of Academic Early Childhood Spanish Immersion centers in an Antonio.

​

Details:
-> This position is a fixed full-time shift of Monday thru Friday. Normal schedule can be any 6-9 hour period between the opening hours of the center (30-45  min break)
-> Can work with a team of teachers in class
-> Spanish Immersion play-based curriculum from Frog Street Press

-> Must be bilingual can fully speak Spanish with a basic communication skill in English for parent notes.

Responsibilities:
-> Caring for the health, hygiene and safety of a group of children working with a team
-> Ensuring the children are learning and growing in their developmental milestones
-> Being in charge of a group of assistants as their supervisor
-> Keeping constant communication with parents
-> Writing notes on Daily Reports and putting in the children's daily necesities on daily reports
-> Classroom Discipline and Management. Be able to entertain and control a small group
-> Implementation of learning activities

-> Developing strong relationships with parents and families of children

-> Create a loving and welcoming environment for infants & toddlers with a strong focus on social emotional learning

Requirements for Position:
-> Must be a bilingual English/Spanish speaker (Spanish 100%, English at least 50%)
-> Must be 18 years or older
-> Must have a High School education or higher, CDA preferable
-> Must pass a background check
-> Must be able to work in the US

-> Experienced in classroom or babysitting preferred. However for floaters and assistants it is an entry level position. We train and also provide a veteran teacher to mentor and shadow for those coming into the profession.

-> Meet all Texas Health & Humans Services [HHS] standards for Child Care Licensing [CCL] in the state of Texas

-> Must be physically able to lift 35 lbs or a small child, walk, bend, twist, squat.

-> Professional appearance

-> Friendly and warm personality

-> Loves working with young children, with a patient demeanor
